Lakshmi movie makers “Silambattam” is directed by cameraman turned Director S. Saravanan. Simbu who did action and romantic peppy roles opted to do a complete morph where he plays a young and energetic temple priest. Sneha in a prominent role and debutant Sana Khan plays the lady love. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed perky songs including classical numbers. A renowned yesteryears song from Thillana mohanaambal “Nalamthaana” is remixed for this movie. Could anyone forget the legendary performance by our “Nadigar Thilagam” shivaji and “Nattiya peroli” Badmini for this song? Song Nalam Thaana is not a complete remix and only a few words used from the old hit song.
Debutant director Saravan says “I am happy to work with Simbu. He is a talented actor and vibrant dancer. No one would have done this character better than him and I am looking forward to release the movie by deepavali.
Silambarasan says “I was hesitant to take up the lead role initially but once director Saravan narrated the story of Silambattam I was captivated. This is a movie that can be viewed by the entire family. Nowadays I concentrate completely on my character in order to placate women and children as I was targeting only the young crowd earlier.
A young temple priest who is forced to take the law in his own hands due to situations forms the crux of the story. Audio release is expected to be by the end of October and a unique marketing strategy was introduced by releasing three songs from Silambattam on internet prior to the official audio launch.
“Where’s the party” is said to be foot tapping number. Little super star’s fans are eager to witness Simbu as “Poojari” in Silambattam. Don’t worry fans he will fulfill all your wishes very soon.
